The video of Nick Vujicic was an inspirational video that tells us how a handicapped like him lived his life in spite of his  physical imperfection.

What is the main message of the video?
The main message of the video is we should not give up even how many times we fall. Even though you lack something there are still things that you can do to make your life better. You will achieve nothing in giving up. You should not be bitter of what you lack, but you should be happy of what you have.

An Adventure with Nature

After the tiring months of school, I visited my aunt’s house. Her house was very far from the city, away from the noisy sounds of the vehicles, away from the busy ambiance made by different kinds of people. Her house, although small was the most beautiful house I have ever visited because of the richness of nature that surrounds it.
But visiting my aunt’s house is not a joke. One should travel few kilometers from the national road to her house by walking. My first visit in her house was a great adventure. I thought it was easy to get there so I decided to go with my cousins.
I with my cousins rode in a jeep full of passengers that it looks like it will lose its balance and fall into the ground. I travel the dusty main road in a hot summer morning by the jeep. I felt tired after taking a ride in the jeep that I want to sleep and have a good rest. But to my surprise I still have to walk few kilometers to reach my aunt’s house.
In my way, a thick cloud was starting to cover the shining sun above. I felt the humid air brushing in my skin.  I can see the surrounding lose its brightness. Then, a heavy rain came. The weather that time is unpredictable. From a sunny day it turned into a rainy one like a lady changing its mood. But the bad weather didn’t stop me and my cousins. I continue walking.
During this journey I was able to climb mountains and it’s really difficult because the road is slippery and muddy. The mud piled up in my slippers that I felt it getting heavier as I continue to walk. It was difficult to walk with heavy slippers so I put them off my feet and I walked with my bare feet. As I passed the mountains, I saw a beautiful view. From the top of the mountain I can see the thick view of trees and the water traversing few rivers below. The height from my position to the view below was breath taking because it is so high, as I look below to see the beautiful view I felt an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach that it felt like my digestive system is going out. I was really afraid af heights but I don’t want to miss the opportunity to see the view so I conquered my fear.
I traveled for hours walking with my cousins. The rain stopped pouring when we reached the last mountain before my aunt’s house. My foot was covered with mud. I can feel my knees giving up after a long walk in the mountains. I was soaked in the rain that so cold but I still have enough strength to finish my journey.
It took for us thirty minutes to travel the road in the last mountain. After that long walk I was able to reach my aunt’s house with my cousins. The location of her house really amazed me because of the nature that surrounding it. What amazed me the most is the beautiful waterfall that I saw when I went at the backyard. There I felt the cold breeze of the air blowing, the air of nature surrounding the place. For me that vacation was such an adventure exploring the beauty of the nature.

My Subtle Hero

When I was a high school, we have this “terror” principal as what the students called her. She was so strict that made the students to hate her. Afraid of being scolded, the students will always avoid her presence.
The same as the students, I hated her too. For me she was a “kill joy” person. She was focusing more in the academic side of the school and giving less time in extra-curricular activities in school for she always treasure the time spent in classrooms. One thing also that made me hate her more was when she got angry in our section because she doesn’t like the way we landscaped our area of responsibility and have given us one hour to change it.
But as time goes by, I had seen her true colours.  She was helping those students who have no enough money for their education in our school. She has always this good heart to give help.  Aside from that she was also helping an orphanage where she spends her free time with the children and nuns.
There came a time when her heroic character was tested that amazed me most. It was when our principal was in her way to our school. She doesn’t live in our town and she have to ride in a bus for two hours in going to school. There was a woman who is one of a passenger whose money was stolen and this woman was explaining to the driver that she have no money to pay for the fare. The woman was telling the driver that she have not eaten breakfast because she had no money. Our principal heard this. So  she offer her money  amounting to one thousand pesos to the woman without knowing that she  had no extra money left in her pocket because she left the rest of her money in their house. Then the woman thanked her and left.  So when it was her time to pay, she was surprised to see her pocket empty and remembered that she left the rest of her money in their house. All she had that time was a twenty peso bill. So the driver witnessing the situation considered it.
This funny experienced of our principal amazed me. I was wrong of thinking those ugly things about her. She was really strict, but when I see her true self I came into understanding her strictness in school. I realized that the reason behind this strictness was her love for the students. She want to provide them a better education that is why she was so strict.
A person don't need to sacrifice his life to be a hero. Each of us can be a hero in our own way. We can be hero for someone out there. All we need is a a good heart that is willing to give to others and our principal have that kind of heart making her a hero for me.

Don’t Forget to Pull Out the Grasses

I was still a one-year old child when my grandmother passed away. I was too young in that time, that I couldn’t remember how she died. I couldn’t even remember her face. Her pictures were the only things that made me remember her face.
My grandmother’s tomb was located in our farm. My grandfather decided to put it there so that he could visit it anytime. He was already old at that time so it would be hard for him to go to the cemetery which was far from his house every time he wanted to visit my grandmother’s tomb. At that time also, my mother and father were helping him at in the farm every weekends. Our family used to visit him twice or thrice a month.
Every time we visit our grandfather, my mother always found time to visit my grandmother’s tomb and clean it. She swept the dry falling leaves and pull out the grasses near the tomb.
After a year, my grandfather found a person that would help him in the farm. My parents were also busy at school because both of them are high school teachers. During that time we seldom visit our grandfather as well as the tomb of my grandmother.
When my mother bore my younger sister it took her moths being not able to visit my grandmother’s grave. Then one night she had a dream. In her dream, she arrived at our house from school when she saw my grandmother sweeping the fallen le3aves and pulling out the grasses that have grown old. My mother asked her, “Nay why are you doing that? You should have left that to me.” Then my grandmother answered, “No its fine. I just don’t like to see these grasses. It looks messy.” Then my mother woke up. It was her first time to saw my grandmother in her dream from the day my grandmother passed away.
So when Saturday came my mother visited my grandmother’s grave. To her surprise she saw that the grasses had grown old and there were many fallen leaves as if it was not cleaned for years. She then concluded that maybe my grandmother wanted her to visit the tomb and clean it that’s why she had that dream.
That experience of my mother made me believe that dead communicate with the living. They are giving signs through dreams. If they don’t, why did my mother had that kind of dream? In her dream my grandmother gave a clue on what my mother missed to do. Maybe it was her way to let my mother remind that it’s been too long since she had visited my grandmother.
